Debuted a couple of nights ago on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, this track from The Prodigy is sure to retain hype in the approach to the release of their sixth studio album, The Day is My Enemy. Accompanied by a super cool animated video from Dutch producer Mascha Halberstad, Wild Frontier is a treat for both eyes and ears.
If you’ve been following any of the news associated with drum and bass recently, you’ll probably have noticed that Peter Bennett (Bensley) has been making some waves. Recently signed to Andy C’s giant of a drum and bass label, RAM Records, this guy is like nothing we, or RAM for that matter, have heard before. And now it appears he has a full album set to be released in April…
Check out this article posted on the UKF website for more details:
And listen to this, again.
Recent one from RAM Records’ Toronto- based artist, Bensley.
Definitely one to watch.
In anticipation of Maduk visiting Fiction in Cape Town next week, I thought it made sense to feature one of his latest releases. Plus I’m just generally stoked to have internationals like this guy visiting South Africa.
Can it get any better than having your first blog post relate to the fact that Camo & Krooked are making another album?
Well, maybe, but I can’t think of anything just yet.
But yes, according to a post on their instagram account, the duo have treated themselves to some extra gear in preparation for the creation of their fourth album. According to UKF, Camo & Krooked had this to say about their recent announcement:
“To take our music to the next level we treated ourselves with some analogue gear like the Moog Sub37, Prophet 8, Roland Chorus Echo, Mbase2 and still much more to come.”
Needless to say, there are no indications of a release date as of yet, but the excitement at the prospect is enough, for me at least, for the moment.
